Catch-up

It has been quite a long time since I got on here to blog our life. I know I have said it before but sorry, I will try to do better but make no promises.

The last six months have flown by and not without a lot of changes in our home.

The biggest change is the amazing birth of our second little girl, Lilly Ann. She was born at 1:08 PM 11/22/2011 weighing 7 lbs 3 ozs and 19 inches long. We are so excited and feel so blessed that we have another beautiful little girl. Madyson absolutely LOVES her little sister and is always trying to help me care for Lilly. The first couple of days after we brought Miss Lilly Ann home Madyson noticed that every time Lilly Ann cried we put the pacifier in her mouth. She took it upon herself to re-name the pacifier to the cry-cry. Now every time she hears Lilly cry she runs to find her cry-cry. She also loves pointing out all Lilly's features: mouth, toes, fingers, eyes, nose, belly, and hair. This is sweet except when she tries to put her finger on these features without knowing her own strength.

Lilly has been a great baby. The first eight weeks came with a little challenge and some adjustment. She came home and decided she really enjoyed the sound of her own voice and wanted to let everyone else hear it as well. She fussed ALOT. Although she also slept really good. At about 4 weeks she would go 4 or 5 nights sleeping from 9PM - 5AM without waking up. Right around 8 weeks we adjusted her means of food and have noticed a HUGE difference in her little personality. Now she is as sweet as ever and if she is awake she is perfectly content sitting up watching the house and smiling. We took her for her 8 week doctors appt a little late due to us being in FL. So her 8 week appointment was actually when she was 10 weeks 3 days old, at that appointment she weighed in at 10 lbs 14 ounces. She is in the 25% for her weight and 75th for her height. This is totally different from her big sister. Madyson from very early on was always over 100% for both her height and weight.

Madyson is now 20 months old and is just wonderful. She has a personality to please and always wants to help. She is smiling and trying to entertain us 24/7. We have also noticed that she is quite the little sponge. Just the other day out of the blue she recited the alphabet to me only missing two letters. Then she went straight into singing Jesus Love Me, I just instantly started smiling, she makes us so proud. On a bit of a different note I think we might be approaching a bit of the terrible twos. She has definitely developed quite the little attitude and makes it VERY known when she is not happy with something or someone. Phill and I have both agreed that we have allot of work ahead of us with Madyson and teaching her to control her temper and her emotions.

The second half of January we traveled to visit my family in FL for three weeks. This was a much needed visit. It had been a year since I was able to visit since I am unable to fly while I am pregnant. Aside from the fact that everyone had the flu the trip was great and we had a wonderful time seeing my family and our friends.

I am sure the next six months will go by just as fast as the last. Our little family of four is now complete and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for my beautiful baby girls.
